Mooring Equipment Guideline

As per Mooring Equipment Guideline

Ship Design MBL determines mooring lines with Line Design Breaking Force (LDBF) of 100% to 105% of Ship Design MBL. 

  1. Brake Design Load = 80% of line ship design MBL. 
  2. Brake Holding Load = 60% of line ship design MBL. 
  3. Winch Pull = 22 to 33% of line ship design MBL.
  4. Drum Diameter = 16 x line diameter 
  5. Width of Working Section = 10 x line diameter
