First vetting inspector explained that he will only ask question as per his tablet nothing else
1. Started with ecdis ( how u plan a passage, safety settings of ecdis, what is safety contour and how much on departure from berth, last weekly update, how do u check dangers ,scamin on/off on wht situation and show in company policy, last weekly update, maintenance of ecdis and entry in log book,np133c checked, also he asked to prepare one more additional plan on ecdis as a backup, checked performance test on ECDIS ,he was deep into ecdis but questions were not unanswerable
2. Checked passage plan watch level and ch eng sign on it
3. Master pilot checked
4. Checked master on conn and bwl change
5. Pre arrival checks and log book entry for same
6. Vdr- backup procedure, how many hours backup u have, company policy for vdr
7. Ais- maintenance, ais performance test and its entry in log book, where is it written in company policy that ais is not used for collision avoidance
8. Sart basic questions, how many and which radar is used
9. Steering changeover procedure
10. Which software is used for updating charts
11. Vhf, mf, hf weekly monthly maintenance
